Please indulge me until Friday, July 31st 12:00 AM Midnight Central Time as I use the introductory paragraph of Sunday Brunch Reads with Social Media ReInvention to promote my nephew’s Kickstarter Campaign for his company, QuadshoX LLC. I wrote about Johnny Morris’ spinal cord injury and remarkable story in this blog post: America’s Gutsiest CEO and His Kickstarter Project Need Your Support.

Here’s the link to QuadshoX’s inspiring YouTube video to promote its Kickstarter Campaign:

The following news organizations wrote these wonderful articles about how Johnny’s and Team QuadshoX’s Corporate Mission is to transform the American wheelchair industry:

Johnny and Team QuadshoX have a limited window to raise $96,000 for the company’s initial inventory. Please join me in financially supporting the Team QuadshoX Kickstarter Campaign and join them in improving the lives of 6 million+ people wheelchair bound Americans.

Your Sunday Brunch Silicon Valley Catchphrase of the Week: Let’s Do Great Things.

1. Wired: How To Unsend Emails in Gmail. Ever wish you could take back an email requiring an attachment. Yep, the one you meant to include after you spent half an hour carefully crafting your email about the attachment’s relevance. Or, how about when you realized your email contained some additional grammar or typo errors (but you already pressed “send”).

Gmail now gives you 30 seconds to undo your mistake.

Go to your Gmail Settings, to enable the Unsend Email function here:

Unsend Undo Gmail Send Email

2. TheNextWeb.com: 14 Social Media Hacks From The ExpertsThis article lists several great tools/hacks I either wasn’t aware of or haven’t tried (yet). I can’t wait to experiment with these tools/hacks:

  • BoomerangDorie Clark recommends this tool for scheduling emails. I trust her advice implicitly. Installed the Gmail plug-in yesterday in about 2 minutes.

I’m a big Buffer fan. I’m a paid monthly subscriber (there’s also a free plan).

My personal favorite social media hack: Evernote. I archive and curate every article inspiring a blog post idea, how-to articles to further my career, Microsoft Excel Tricks, inspiring quotes, etc. The article links I share and write about Sunday for Sunday Brunch Reads with Social Media ReInvention are from my Evernote Curation Process.

3. Business Insider:  Former Ivy League Admissions Dean Reveals Why Highly Qualified Asian-American Students Often Get RejectedI’m going to write a blog post expressing my take on this article. I don’t want to reveal my thoughts yet because I want you to arrive at your own conclusions. I will publish my ideas (and what I believe Asian-American Students should do when applying to not only Ivy League academic institutions for undergraduate or graduate programs), but also when conducting their job searches post-graduation.

I have a vested, personal interest in the advice I’ll share and write about because I am a Dad to young, Asian-American daughters.
