Please indulge me until Friday, July 31st 12:00 AM Midnight Central Time as I use the introductory paragraph of Sunday Brunch Reads with Social Media ReInvention to promote my nephew’s Kickstarter Campaign for his company, QuadshoX LLC. I wrote about Johnny Morris’ spinal cord injury and remarkable story in this blog post: America’s Gutsiest CEO and His Kickstarter Project Need Your Support.

Here’s the link to QuadshoX’s inspiring YouTube video to promote its Kickstarter Campaign:

The following news organizations wrote these wonderful articles about how Johnny’s and Team QuadshoX’s Corporate Mission is to transform the American wheelchair industry:

Johnny and Team QuadshoX have a limited window to raise $96,000 for the company’s initial inventory. Please join me in financially supporting the Team QuadshoX Kickstarter Campaign and join them in improving the lives of 6 million+ people wheelchair bound Americans.

Your Sunday Brunch Silicon Valley Catchphrase of the Week: “It’s like Uber for

Thank YOU for Social Media Community Members who have generously financially supported Johnny’s Kickstarter Campaign. Here are this week’s Sunday Brunch Reads for your enjoyment:

1. Fortune.com: Why Ellen Pao Was Doomed To Lose. I’ve read Patricia Sellers’ Fortune Magazine articles for years because I’m a subscriber. She’s a top business journalist and an industry insider on women’s issues and corporate power in the elite Fortune 100. Her personal access to the men and women in CEO and senior executive boardrooms is one few people possess. That’s why I pay close attention to these quotes from her article on why Ellen Pao never had a chance of winning her sexual harassment lawsuit against Kleiner Perkins Caulfield & Byers

Ellen Pao never had a chance against Kleiner Perkins—and here’s why she is not the kind of activist that Silicon Valley and the VC industry need to fix their gender problems.

Ellen Pao was, quite simply, ill-equipped to take on this important issue.

Whoa. Read Patricia’s article. She makes a compelling argument for why Ellen Pao lost (and what type of female activist is required to reverse Silicon Valley’s Sand Hill Road gender diversity gap).

Sand Hill Road 1 (One). Women’s Diversity 0 (Zero).

… for now.

2. NPR.org: Boy Who Lost Stuffed Tiger At Airport Finds Tiger Stayed Very BusyThis story is about how Tampa International Airport reunited a young boy with his best friend, a stuffed Hobbes The Tiger doll, will warm your heart. unforgettable. How  decided to creatively pull together the reunion with the owner Hobbes The Tiger will warm your heart.

It’s a Harvard Business Review Case Study in 21st Century Customer Service waiting to happen. In my opinion, Tampa Airport International Operations Center Manager Tony D’Aiuto should become the most sought-after customer service public speaker in his industry.

From one Tony to another, Cheers to You Mr. D’Aiuto!

3. Vogue.com: Arianna Huffington — The Connector. This article describes the personal influence and relationship making prowess of media mogul, Arianna Huffington. She’s a leading example of creating, understanding, integrating, and wielding a powerful personal brand.

Arianna Huffington is old school, personal charm meets new school, 21st century real time technologies and platforms.

She’s everything Ellen Pao is not when it comes to practicing 21st century personal power, influence tactics, and platform building. If someone with Arianna Huffington’s “power awareness” was the defendant in the aforementioned sexual harassment case, I wonder if that case would have resulted in a different outcome.

Think about it.
